WHY JHARNA
The Jharna restaurant was opened in Belfast in 1992. Since then we have been serving genuine, authentic food, prepared by our highly trained chefs.
In response to the growing trend towards more conscious eating, our expert chefs have taken a more healthy approach to our menu. Our dishes are created with freshness and simplicity in mind, they are low in sodium and fat and contain no artificial colourings.
OUR POLICY
The Jharna restaurant has a stated policy on the following:-
- No use of additives, preservatives, 'off-the-shelfconcoctions' in our kitchens.
- Indian food needs no artificial colourings. However, carcinogenic food colours are strictly forbidden in our kitchen.
- To exceed or surpass the EU Health and Hygiene Requirements in our organisation.
- Groceries sourced from ISO 9002 quality system approved exporters as far as possible.
- Meats and Vegetables sourced from HACCP-compliant suppliers only, for full trace ability.
- Use of low-cholesterol polyunsaturated oils to encourage ‘Healthy-Heart’
- Total focus on ‘customer-delight’, not just customer satisfaction.
- All prices include VAT @ current rate.
- We accept all major credit cards
- Service charge is not included but 10% will be added to table of 6 or more which distributes to all our staff
Childrens portions are available on request, please ask your waiting staff.
